Cat Lengths

I am thinking about doing some cat redecorating in the living room.

I want to get a new cat tree since my cat tree is fraying from all

of my scratching.  I want to convince my Mom that we can fit

a bigger tree in the house so I am using cat lengths to measure the

area to convince her that this would be a good place for a cat tree.

I am taking the job seriously as there has been no tree that

Mom has liked to get.  She says the house is small and all of

the available trees would overwhelm the small size of our house.

So I need to show her that we have enough room for a larger

tree in the house by continuing to do measurements.

Pawsitioning and Distractions

When I get on my Mom's lap I like to pawsition myself

purrfectly before resting and this requires that I turn around

in circles making biscuits.  The lap has to be tender before it

is possible to sit in it for a while. A non tender lap is very unconfortable

so the right amount of turning needs to be done before there is any settling

on the lap for a purr sesssion and rest.

Sometimes this process goes on for such a long time that I get distracted

 from my original goal. I like to go up on a lap when Mom is doing something so there

are sometimes interesting items are left on the bed.  These items are at least worth

some investigation to see what they are and if they are cat toys.  Once I

am distracted the pawsitioning gets stopped to tend to the new thing .

Color Swirl

Sometimes when I move a certain way all of my colors

swirl to create different patterns on my fur that my

Mom traces.  She says that my fur is like an abstract

pattern that shifts when I turn around to create a bit

of Modern Cat Art. With the white canvas with a splattering

of black, cream, and orange in different amounts.

The little freckles of black and orange stripes adds

to this idea and there would be times when she traces my fur lines

with her hands making little patterns when she is

petting me. Humans have the weirdest ideas at times,

but this does make me purr  so I let her do this.

Birdie TV Interrupted

I was watching the birdies on the panoramic television in the

 living room when my Mom came in looking for me.  She said that

 she had not seen me for a while and wanted to make sure I

was okay as I had not made even a meep.  This interrupted

my television viewing so I left the area.

I made the point to deliberately walk past

my Mom's feet just out of petting reach to show my

kitty displeasure of being interrupted from an exciting

edition of birdie tv.  I even did the slow stretchy walk to

temp her to try and pet when she knew I would run

like the wind if she tried to pet me.  Birdie TV is

a special kitty time that needs quiet from the humans

or else they fly away and she needed a little reminder of this fact.

4th Laser Show

Happy Fourth of July

I am celebrating today by creating a

laser display.  Instead of the noisy firework boomers I

thought I would use my lasers for a quiet show.  This is

something that all cats can do to enjoy the 4th without dashing

under the bed to hide from the loud noise. 

 

Cat Wash

I am hiding under the bed after I was given a cat wash.

I stayed under the bed until I was dry so that my

Mom would not continue to towel dry me.  Humans do not

know the best way to do a fur style.  Just look at

this spiked do I am not a punk cat.  They try, but the

cat tongue is the best way to dry off and get the floofy look.

The best thing about the bed is that my Mom can only get

one hand in there so I get to decide when I come out.

This small opening is accessible only to a cat and sometimes

she wonders how I manage to get into that space. 

Each area had to be taken care of to make my fur presentable.

Once I had finished the grooming I went out from under the

bed to eat my treat that she gave me for being a good girl.

It was Salmon and this was why I only made some Mep Mew

Rof protests because I knew that a great treat was awaiting me

if I let her do a complete bath with a bit of drying and teeth brushing.

Cuteness Rules

I rule the house with cuteness and can get away with

a lot of things.  Even though we do not own this home

I have scratched the carpet enough that little fibers

keep appearing even after my Mom picks them up to

protect me from eating them.  She does not stop me from

doing this even when she sees me in the act.

I just turn on my cuteness after the fact so Mom can

not be mad.  She is prone to the cute act and when I

do this I can get away with this naughty act.  The cuteness

means that I have wrapped around my paw, but I do not

take advantage and only use it sometimes.
