Blogging Break

I am going to be going on a little bit of a blogging break
as Mom is going through a lot of stuff right now.  She
will not be able to go visit as many blogs as she goes
to New York City, working, and graduate school.  We
have been getting fewer comments and we feel that is because
she has not been able to keep up with our friends and they
might think we do not care about them.

I will try to do important cat events like Mo Cats Day
and Talk Like a Pirate as we do still want to be involved in
the community.  It is just that there has not been as many
visitors and with everything it would just be too much on
the plate to keep up with the pace as it seems that we
lost some friends by not visiting them as much as we could.

  1. Oh darn, that makes us sad Willow. Please tell mom to let us know how she is doing. It does get discouraging sometimes.Tell Mom good luck with the grad school. Take care.

  2. That makes us sad, too!

We understand, though, because blogging is just for fun for most of us, and many of our moms still work and/or juggle human families, we all have life "stuff," etc. So it's hard to keep up with everything and blogging usually has to go.

When we started on the CB, we were blogging 5 days a week, trying for 7 but that was way too much. Now we blog only 3 or 4 days a week, usually. And since we follow over 400 blogs, we've given up trying to leave comments on everyone's blog, every day. It's impossible.

  3. That's so sad! It can be tough sometimes, to juggle between our families, our career, and blogging. In your mom's case, there's also school. You take good care of your Mom, Willow, and give her extra purrs tonight.
We'll still comment when your Mom finds the time to post! We might be late sometimes, but we'll get here! :)
Take care, Willow and Willow's Mom.

  4. We love you, beautiful Willow, and it makes us sad that you are taking a break....we will be missing you, sweetie.

(We visit but don't always leave comments because of our mama's health.)

  5. We will miss you Willow but know how things are difficult when you have other priorities like your mom's graduate school. We will keep your name on our blog list and peek in from time to time to see if you have been about.
    Take care

  6. We're sorry to see you go for awhile. We always enjoy coming here, and we understand how it can be hard to get around to visit everyone constantly. But we will always be your furriends and hope to see you come back soon.

  7. Oh noes! We used to be able to visit most blogs and leave comments, but now our Mommeh says she doesn't have as much time to help us. We used to blog every day, but now we just post on weekdays. I do not think you have lost any friends or visitors. We always read your blog in our Reader, even if we don't comment every day.

  8. I know how hard it is to keep up with everyone! Do what works best for you, but I do read all your posts!

  9. Well I'm missing you already...but I do understand the need for a break. I don't think you've lots any friends either, I read lots of blogs every single day (probably 300) but can only comment on about 50 each day. But I do read all of my friends blogs faithfully. Hey, don't you forget your friends out here in Blogville!!!

  10. Willow, we love you! We don't get many comments either but blog when we can. Lately we have been juggling a lot of things too which makes it hard to come up with something to post. We totally understand and we will definitely miss you very much!! Lots of love, Debbie & Holly

  13. Honey Willow, PLEASE don't feel that way. I have loved reading your sweet blogs since I met you. Please don't think no one is reading. It's as Brian and Daisy said..somethines there are too many. (I don't much have that problem tho as I don't get many comments either) BUT I usually take and visit those who visit me and then go to the dashboard and add more furries to go see to my list for the day. Please don't go away. We love you.

  14. Willow, it's tough when there are a lot of things going on. When I first started my blog I only posted once a week because I knew for sure I could do that, with everything else. Plus, I'm a busy parish cat with lots of stories that had to go into a book and all that...

Now, it's a little better, the smoke's cleared. Even if we don't see a comment, we totally understand. Visit us whenever you've a mind to!!
(door's always open, willow and mom)

  19. Aw, that makes us sad, too. Please know that we care about you and your mom, and that we don't think less of you if you don't come visit. We all understand about life stuff, and hope you can be restored and refreshed on your break. Maybe you could post like once a week? Whatever you decide, please know that there are many of us that do care, okay? :)

    Hugs!

  20. Willow, Don't think too much, Enjoy the break : )
When mom first start blog it took so long to get a comment, some day we didn't have any comment at all. I think you are doing better than us.
And in these day, cat blogs are over 300, it's really hard for everyone ! Like us some day, mom was so tired, she works full time so we can't make a comment for every one . Not because we don't care. We just can't make it. We are so sorry if made you feel that way.
We love you o.k., Enjoy your break !
    Hugs
    xoxo

  22. Oh Willow, we will miss you and your fun look on life! Although we understand that sometimes Moms get busier than they should be. Demerits!
Traffic seems to drop off this time of year with school starting and late holidays in Europe...we will look forward to your posts and we have our paws crossed your Mom does well in her studies this semester!
    We LUBS you!

  23. We're totally in the same boat. Heather works ten hours a day, and hardly has time between blogging, networking and making greeting cards. If we get a moment to ourselves, it's a blessing. We hope you manage to continue posting, even if it's just once a week. Remember, quality overrules quantity! :) Good luck to your mom with graduate school!

  25. Yeah, I've found if I don't comment on blogs, they don't comment on mine, but we have limited time too. Don't stay away too long.

  27. Oh Willow! We understand it's hard. My Human had to go back to work about three weeks ago and things have just not been the same. She feels really bad that some days she posts but doesn't visit efurrybody. What happens a lot is that she visits the furriends who commented that day cause she doesn't have time to go through the whole list. She has too many papers to grade! In the summer she hadded her evenings to herself.

We lubz you! We understand if you can't blog and visit efurry day, but please don't feel sad. We iz purrin' for your Mom and hope you'll get to visit sometimes. XOXOXO, Spitty
